THE FOUR FACTS OF GOD
FACT
1 - GOD LOVES US
The Bible says:
"For God so loved the world…" (John 3:16)
Without exception, God loves every person in the world. And that
includes YOU!
If the Bible says God loves us, why is it that most people are not
experiencing His love?
FACT 2 - GOD'S LOVE NOT EXPERIENCED
The Bible says:
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans
3:23)
We have not experienced God's love because SIN separates us from
God.
SIN is a theological word. When the Bible says we have sinned, it
means that we lie, we lust, we hate,
we steal, etc. The word 'sin' actually means 'to miss the mark'. In
other words, God is perfect and we
aren't. It doesn't matter how religiously we live or how good we
are, we cannot meet God's standard.
If we have sinned, how is it possible for us to experience His love?
FACT 3 - GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS LOVE
The Bible says:
"But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
Jesus Christ came into the world, took our sins that caused us not
to experience God's love, placed
them upon Himself and died in our place.
JESUS CHRIST is God's only provision for man's sin. Through Him we
can know and experience God's
love.
Have you experienced God's love?
FACT 4 - GOD HAS GIVEN YOU A CHOICE…TO ACCEPT OR TO REJECT
The Bible says:
"He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God
does not have life." (1 John 5:12)
To experience God's love, all you need to do is to PUT YOUR FAITH IN
JESUS CHRIST.
What is FAITH? The word 'faith' means trust. It means trusting Him
to save us - not trusting your good life, or your church membership,
but trusting Jesus Christ and Him alone who died for our sins on the
cross and rose again.
God has given you a choice. Is there anything that is keeping you
from trusting Jesus Christ as your
Saviour right now?
Do you ACCEPT or REJECT?
If you accept…
HOW TO ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST
Accepting Jesus Christ is a total commitment of yourself to God.
What must you do?
1. Admit you are a sinner.
2. Be willing to repent from your sins.
3. Believe that jesus Christ died for our sins and rose from the
dead for you.
4. Through simple faith accept Him as Saviour and Lord.
THEN MAKE THIS YOUR PRAYER
"Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. Please forgive my
sins. I thank you that You died on the cross for my sins and rose
from the dead. I open my heart right now to accept You as my
Personal Lord
and Saviour. Lord, make me the kind of person you want me to be. In
Jesus' name... Amen!"
HOW TO KNOW THAT YOU HAVE JESUS CHRIST IN YOUR LIFE…
When you prayed, did you know that you invited Jesus Christ into
your life?
The Bible says…
"Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him,
and he in God. And we have come
to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is
love, and the one who abides in love
abides in God and God abides in him." (1 John 4:15-16)
CONGRATULATIONS! You have just made the most important decision in
your life. For your own record, remember the date you've accepted
Jesus Christ as your Saviour.
SUGGESTIONS FOR YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH
New Christians are called "babes in Christ". As a new babe in
Christ, your goal is to grow into full maturity in Christ, becoming
more and more like Him. Here are some suggestions for your spiritual
growth:-
" Go to God in prayer daily (John 15:7)
" Read God's Word daily (Acts 17:11)
" Obey God (John 14:21)
" Witness for Christ by your testimony (John 15:8)
" Trust God for every detail of your life (1 Peter 5:7)
" Holy Spirit - allow Him to control and empower your daily life and
witness (Acts 1:8)
There is another very important ingredient to Christian growth i.e.
the importance of a GOOD CHURCH.
The Bible says:
"not forsaking our own assembling together…" (Hebrews 10:25)
Take the initiative, call or visit the church where Christ is
honoured and His Word is preached. Start this week, and make plans
to attend church regularly. There is a list of churches which you
could refer to for a church near you.
